Finally, I received a lot of interesting information and ideas about that
subject, so thank you everybody.

Nevertheless, I am not absolutely sure that I am going to take this last one
into account.

I had great time using Notator on my Atari.
I had great time using the Khoros program on SUN workstations (image
processing).
I bought a quadra 650 only for running MAX, and had great time. But my
Emagic Logic on the Mac is clearly a less inspiring tool than my old
Atari/Notator.
And recently discovering Terragen or L-system (both for nature image
synthesis) have been great experiences ,... on PC's.

Well, computer platforms come to life through great softwares, like
landscapes come to life thanks to light, like a keyboard comes to life
through a great score.

Which is the computer platform is not so important.
