Yes, MSP is supporting the MOTU 2408. You need to use the ASIO driver for
that.

Me too, I was waiting for Nelson's reply. I thought that the code had been
ported...

As another alternative to RandIJ and Litter, there is a package of FAT
externals I wrote a couple of years ago called Max-Alea. You can find them
on Ircam's site.

Hello Jim,

I took a look at the patch, changed a couple of numbers and set up a method
to check the input/output values of the buffer. It seems to be correct now.
For the second version, it seems okay. What you get in the buffer will be
512
values AND the inverse of the values (the expr object and the extra input
into
the table object do this, so if you don't want that, just take it out).

Hope it helps.

Carl

Subject: MSP and Digidesign Cards, Mars cards

Hi,

I try to run MSP on a G3/300 - old- with Digidesign Mix Core card and a 888
Audio- Interface, using DigiInit 4.3.1 and .
I cannot specify any audio channel for in/out via e.g. or . It works only on audio channel 1.
Has somebody experience with this configuration (or with Digi Project II
card) and better succes?

Is anybody working with the Mars - Audiocards (ISA-cards for PC) from IRIS,
an italian company, and want to share infos?

Also greetings to Christophe
I checked and found URL for FAtrand is

Subject: Bomb and MSP

Hi all,

I don't seem to be being very successful in raising any interest in using
Bomb - so I thought I'd try agin and hope that at least David Z might reply.

Perhaps someone else has some experience with Bomb, or perhaps you could
add something David Z.

1. When Bomb is the front window, all the control mechanisms no longer
work in the MAX patch. I have tried Overdrive and All Windows Active, but
it makes not difference. So any suggestions about how I get arround this.
I am using the Key object to play files in MSP using the sfplay~ object -
so no control is active when Bomb is actually happening.

2. I want to make this patch into a collective or an app, but Bomb doesn't
seem to work in a collective. The collective report no Bomb object.

And now for a possible bug in MSP.

When I am running MSP, if I double click on the Note Out object, I get a
window that looks like an audio hardware setup window which quickly closes,
and MAX crashes with a type 1 error. I am using the direct I/o with an
AMIII board. Any suggestions? I dont have a problem when using the Sound
Manager in a standard setup.

Cheers,

Garth

Having heard a track from the New CD, I would say check it out. This track
will also be on the MAX list CD which is due to go into manufacturing
sometime soon. I have a few last things to take care of... and off it goes.
The CD will probably be going for shipping costs, and I should have more
info out soon (just have to finish this darn www contract this week.)

I'm interested, and seriously considering attending this, and I was
wondering if there was anyone else from out of town that was thinking the
same. If so, and you are interested in sharing a room in rez or something
please email me privately. Thanks.

(http://www.housing.berkeley.edu/conference/summervis/ ) $54/night for
double occupancy.

Also, anyone know where Berkley is? :) Seeing as I have never been to
California, my understanding of the geography is somewhat lacking.

Also, a question to the people teaching the course: Will there be any
discussion of building MSP externs in C/C++?

Cheers,

Chris

This is a difficult question, that may never be answered completely.
