Subject: video sampling

A while ago there was some discussion about video sampling. Any new break
throughs?

We are considering a possible solution:

1. to create an object that grabs qtvideo in the manner record~ grabs audio
in MSP
2. modify movie object so that it will be able to access a buffer in ram
instead of reading a file from a disk

Any advice whether this would be realistic/best approach? Some people have
commented being discouraged in dealing with quicktime.
Are we going to bang our heads to a wall? Or is this something allready
envisioned in becoming max updates?
