Does anyone know of any object, or any clever trick, that does what the old
68k "sense" object does? (attach it to an output, it returns 1 if
something is going on, & 0 if not?) I miss it.

It's easy to duplicate 'sense' with a delay object. Since delay,
when retriggered, does not send any output until it has not been
retriggered for "n" ms. Here's an example patcher which duplicates
the functionality of sense.

Has anyone encountered a problem with an msp object built with CodeWarrior
Pro? What will be the possible problem, DZ?

Thanks in advance.

I would like to playback a sequence with 3 streams of controller data and
some note info, and be able to vary the tempo in real time. It seems
simple, but the seq object won't cut it since I can vary the tempo only at
the start of playback. detonate seems promising, but I can't record
continuous streams of controller info (or can I?). Any other MIDI file
playback objects that I should be aware of?

Peter.

Thank you, antiorp, for this information. Now I can use it to subtly
manipulate buyers in different age demographics, and further my amerikan
kapitalist agenda. You will buy, and you don't know why....

If you're not trying to read Standard MIDI Files, you could easily rig
something up with a metro, a counter, and a few funbuffs. If you need SMF
capability, mabye you could read it in with seq and then parse the data to
the funbuffs.
