From: Scott Draves
Subject: max bomb

Hello, this is my first post to the list.

I would like to announce the release of version 1.0 of the "bomb" max
object. A rough beta was announced by David Z. on this list several
months ago. Since then it has been fleshed out and polished up. You
can download it from

  http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~spot/bomb.html

Bomb is a visual-musical instrument. It produces animated, organic
graphics in real time. It can be completely controlled by max
messages, or it can improvise on its own. I hope you enjoy it, and
let me know what you make of it. Bug reports and suggestions for
improvements are welcome; contributions of source code and examples
for the tutorial are even more welcome.

I would like to thank David Zicarelli for doing the bulk of the work
of gluing bomb to max, and jhno for advice and beta testing.

Subject: Another style of authorization problem

I have a really small but annoying problem to address: I did a Max install
on a Jaz drive. The drive was authorized, but when I went to deauthorize
it, the authorizing application wouldn't acknowledge that there was an
install. This was the final install left on my disk, so I'd love to find a
way to retrieve it. Any ideas?

Bob Gluck

P.S. Thanks to those who assisted me in writing a patch to control movies,
some months ago. Its being performed as part of a two computer Max-duet
this Sunday night at Simon's Rock College in Great Barrington, MA and again
at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on Wednesday night, December 2.
