Subject: MTP AV, OMS and MAX

Hello. Does anyone know if it is possible to use the MTP AV interface with
OMS and the assignable pedal inputs (there are 2) on the interface? I would
like to use this with MAX but the MTP manual only talks about installing
FreeMIDI. OMS seems to recognize the interface and MIDI coming from the
pedals but not individually.

i think LiSa is an amazing program, and i was getting set to buy it around
the end of last year - when msp came out and i realized immediately that i
could make my own patches that do everything it does, and more...(!) so
that was that.

i still think LiSa is great, but with msp i have been able to make
completely unique things, according to my spontaneous needs/whims. and soon
i will be able to inflict them on VST users... :)

just my experience -

Subject: duplicate install of max??

hi all,

I've had Max running fairly happily alongside LiSa on another machine, but
I try it on my PowerBook the whole thing locks up. This is, I suspect,
because I
also have MSP installed on my machine. I assume that there's a fight for
posession of the SoundManager going on.

the solution would seem to be to have a seperate copy of the Max folder,
MSP. This could be done either by duplicating my existing Max folder and
deleting any MSP related files in that folder, or by doing a new additional
install of Max.

so -
1. _would_ this solve my problem (ie could i run Max without MSP, or is
there a
preferences file that will point the "new" Max to MSP anyway)?
2 - if it will work, does it matter which method I use?

I want to be sure before i try this, as I don't want to screw up my existing
and MSP installs or authorisations.

perhaps if anyone has an answer to this they could also email me directly,
I'm subscribed to the digest, and if possible I'd like to know the answer to
this fairly quickly
