Subject: how to make an app again

hello again,

the problem I have with making an app is that I have my copy of MAX as a
legacy after the man I bought my mac from - so there's no manual for me.
i plan to buy a MAX CD from opcode because I really miss the manual but u
guess this will happen in 1999, have no money left for it at the time
(new copy will cost me 4 monthly salaries, so have to wait).

so, please, help me.

Hello everybody,
Can somebody please tell how to get off this list?
I'm changing my ISP.
Thanks!

Your patch is trying to allocate too much memory at interrupt time.

Probably too many lists are being allocated in one shot.

Cheers,

Peter

PS: Is it time for a Max FAQ? Seems we had this question only a week or
so ago?

I was running Max in some installation I had recently in Barcelona,
Max 3.5.9 authorized with a 3.5 master disk. The installation ran smoothly
for 2 weeks but on the last day of the exhibition the program refused to
open. It was asking for the master keydisk in order to re-verify the
authorization. Fortunately, it was the last day and it was a 3-hour day.
Unfortunately, I wasn't there since long and so was the master keydisk.

What's this thing with re-verifying the authorization? Does it mean that
we can't install Max on a machine without leaving a master disk beside?
Scary perspective.

David et al,

I almost cringe at the thought of asking about adding more work to your
already too full plate, David, but I was wondering if you've had a chance
or are planning on looking into a driver for the new MOTU 2408? This seems
like a pretty decent bang for the buck/mark/franc/etc. product, and it
comes with a Sound Manager driver. I am on the verge of getting a
multi-channel audio I/O system and MSP support would be a factor in the
decision. Has anyone else gotten one of these things yet?

Thanks very much,
Frank

If you *bought* Max from the person you bought the computer from, he
should have transferred you the title, and given you the manual. You
would then register yourself with Opcode as the new holder of the
license that previously belonged to Mr X. Forgive me if I'm wrong,
but I have a feeling you did not actually purchase his license, but he
"left" the software on the computer along with a bunch of other things.

If so, you are not a legal owner of a license to MAX, so I for one
will not tell you how to make collectives. If I'm wrong, please
let me know.
