Sure. All you have to do is program it to do it.

Subject: G3 playthrough

Hi - this probably came up already, but is it really true that the G3's
automatically mix the input signal with the output? Is this a permanent
hardware thing? Is there any way to disable it? Do they all do it, even
the PowerBooks? I want to use MSP to transform live sounds, but it won't
work very well if you can hear the original mixed in...

Dear Doctor,

I opened your patch and it looks very interesting, love to know more and

try it.
I am on tour right now and cannot check your sites, early next week I
will
however.
You had some questions as to the layout of the drum kat, do you know
it? It looks
like mickey mouse. 10 triggers on the surface , I also have 4 across
the top (rim
Kats they are called), a "snare pad" just below the "box" and a kick
trigger. I
request standard drumset notation, which I can fax to you with a layout
of the
drum kat as well (although my artwork leaves much to be desired). I can

assign
them to any notes (or multiple notes) or channels you desire.
The Mallet Kat Pro is a 4 oct Midi mallet instrument (xylo-like), it's a

controller with 2 layers, I have 1 control pedal and 2 sustain pedals
(one of
which will do an indifinate hold until depressed a second time), it also

accepts a
breath controller, but I do not have one, unless it would make you a
much happier
man, then I would buy one.

Your name sounds very familiar, did we meet at Ars Electronica when I
was there
with Subotnick? Perhaps it's just your reputation... or I've heard you
music on a
festival before...I have a terrible memory from filling my head with too

many
notes!

Thank you for the response, I look forward to receiving your music!

xoxo, Ak

I'm very curious to know if G3 Powerbooks owners use MSP with sound cards =
(PC
Cards). If so, what card did you choose ? Any problem ? Happiness ?

Is this the object we've all been waiting for? - - to cure our G3 pains?
Please, David, make it available to us - even if there are still some
shortcomings in comparison to the SCSI cd object.

Does it mean that the cd object now works with the built-in ATAPI
(non-SCSI) drive? That would be - terrific! Can you please advice us
where to download this gem?
