I have done this too, and of course it gives you 104 triggers, or how ever
many keys you have on your Querty keyboard. I have not been able to get
multiple key recognition simultaneuously, but you don't really need it. I
will warn you that I needed to put relays in between the incomming switches
and the keyboard contacts and found the magnetic feild around the incomming
cables caused some problems so added some timmer circuits using simple 555
IC's. I works fine and is a reliable way to get loads of trigger inputs -
using the MAX Key object - and keep the seraial ports open for other
things.

Cheers,

Garth

Subject: DEATH [call for submissions]

Project4NewMusic is undertaking a new cassette composition. It is titled
DEATH. It is a one-hour tape piece for cassette, cassette player, and
listener. We are seeking musical submissions that are on the theme of
DEATH. In general, all submissions will be put on the tape composition
(in their original form), unless there is too much material submitted, in
which case arbitrary or not-so-arbitrary decisions will be made about what
will go on it.

The intention of Project4NewMusic in creating the tape piece DEATH
(essentially a compilation tape) is to only distribute the tape free, and
in person. Furthermore, the intention is also to ^not^ distribute a
playlist (listing piece names and composers) with the tape. However, as
loopholes to these intentions, any composer is free to include their name
and title in audio form at the beginning of their piece. Furthermore, the
tape may be received not-in-person if monetary compensation is provided
for the mailing expenses. Financial aid is available in this area.

Particularly, it is the intention of Project4NewMusic to distribute the
cassettes with only a one word cassette label: DEATH. Possibly included
with the completed tapes will be business cards ("Artistic License"s)
that offer no useful (or contact) information whatsoever.

Submissions may be made in the form of cassettes, DATs, CDs, Jaz disks, or
records. All of these items can be returned promptly to the composer if
so desired by the composer. Please send your submissions to:
