There is no application in the bomb folder. It's a MAX external.

1) put the "bomb" object in either your max-startup folder, or your
externals folder where all the other objects are.

2) Take the _contents_ of the "put in max folder" folder (not the folder)=

and put all of those files directly in the MAX 3.5.x folder, with the
MAX application.

Launch Max and open bomb.help. Should work now.>>

Nope, I did all that and got exactly the same message as well!

As David Z. already correctly stated, increase memory to MAX.

How does a cubase vst plugin run under max? do you mean there is a way of
getting these plugins to run in the max environment?

You need MSP and ftp://ftp.cycling74.com/vst.sit.bin.

Subject: ____Help: How can 4-byte IEEE values be displayed/created in Max??

Hello,

I'm working on a patcher which will require the following:

1. be able to receive a 4-byte IEEE floating point value
from sysexin (in the form of 8 4-bit nibbles comprising
   the 4-byte float)

2. be able to convert these 8 4-bit nibbles into the
4-byte IEEE float they represent and display it (number box)

3. allow the user to "create" a 4-byte IEEE float value using
   two sliders (coarse/fine) :  exm range: -1000.0  -> +1000.0

4. be able to send this user-created 4-byte IEEE float value
to sysex out in the form of 8 4-bit nibbles
___________
Q1: Is all of the above possible in Max 3.5.9 ?

Q2: Do any 'helper' functions exist to help implement the above
      requirements?

Thanks in advance for any info on this to me at: ai@wco.com
