David,

The MSP info on your cycling74 page says that "Support for the Emagic
audio card is forthcoming." I would like to use this card for a
multi-channel output application I am making in MSP. I'd heard there was
some problem getting documentation from Emagic. Would you please let me
know where support for this card stands? Thank you very much.

Like Gavin, I have also been using a MOTU MIDI Express XT and like the
interface quite a bit. However, due to Opcode's lack of a driver for it in
OMS (it defaults to the standard MIDI Time Piece driver), many of the
extended features aren't supported. Also, when trying to assign a letter
to a port in MAX' "Midi Setup...", it inseparably links Port 1 with the
entire interface, broadcasting any data sent to Port 1 out all ports. This
is not a problem if you explicitly use the OMS port name in MAX, but it is
certainly an annoyance.

I have had success using MOTU's new FreeMIDI 1.34 in OMS emulation mode.
They have grealty improved the OMS compatibility with this version. MAX is
able to talk with the interface and the ports, and it eliminates the above
bug. This is now my standard setup as it lets me use all the interface
features.

What about the new 2408 interface from Mark of the Unicorn? Any plans for
specific support?
