With this talk about dsp... I was noticing on the emagic web page that
they are now making a developers kit available for their audiowerk 8
. I wonder if anyone is
pondering a Max object to support this card and what kind of a
challenge that might be. I'm not sure what dsp the card has, but it
would be interesting to have 8 outs to send sound to with Max.

It seems that you are obviously using the old 68k version which is not
recognized by MaxFAT3.5.x However, there is a FAT "scramble" object
dwelling on IRCAM's
ftp-server thanks to the efforts of our dear Xoas (vulgo Richard Dudas):

He was kind enough to wipe out a bug which prevented "scramble" to work
with list of more than 127 (sic!) elements. Since yesterday, this new
version of "scramble" not only exists but also works with lists of 256

I assume that it will be put on IRCAM's ftp-server soon(ish)...
