Unless I made an error, every 3.5.X update on the Opcode Web site
assumes you only have Max 3.5, and it provides all the externals that
have changed since 3.5 was released. So need to worry about incremental

There are no new externals between 3.5.6 and 3.5.8 by the way.

A few weeks ago people were discussing whether Mac OS 8 installation would
kill their disc authorization. But does anyone have any experience as to
whether Max works slower or faster under OS 8?

Subject: Networking Max

I am working on a undergrad project that will involve networking computers
across campus, and possibly over the internet. I am extremely comfortable
using max now for creating the content, but I have been having a hard time
finding an object that networks machines outside of MIDI. Protocols that
I have available are Appletalk, TCP/IP, Novell, and all of these are
through ethernet connections. If anyone could point me in the direction
of an object that gives a fairly stable, efficient connection in any of
these methods that would be great.

Have the bugs with the ppc counter object been fixed? If so, where can I
go to get the updated counter object?

Thank you,
Ed Campion
